Ascension of the Lord
Jesus Christ, ascended on high, fills the whole world with God's gifts,
And opens the gates of heaven to mortal men and women.
Let us pray for our needs and the needs of all people.
That God's grace in Jesus Christ may equip the Church's ministers
to build up the Body of Christ,
We pray to the Lord
That God's grace in Jesus Christ
may open the hearts of many of our young people
to respond to vocations to the priesthood and the religious life,
We pray to the Lord
That God's grace in Jesus Christ may lead all people
to respect human life and religious freedom,
We pray to the Lord
That God's grace in Jesus Christ
may touch the hearts of our young parishioners
who receive him for the first time at Mass today
to deepen their love for him and build their attachment to him
We pray to the Lord
That God's grace in Jesus Christ
may help farmers to plant their crops and nurture their growth,
We pray to the Lord

may encourage us to assist the needy in our midst,

to share his glory in heaven,

Giver of all good gifts,
renew us in your service by your surpassing power,
and keep us united to our Savior, Jesus Christ,
whose love reaches to the heavens
